# 1000 Hours of Product

> A volunteer effort giving away 1,000 hours of hands-on product help to early-stage founders, free. Experienced product people donate their own time. Founders claim hours from the pool.

## What it is

Experienced practitioners have pledged hours into a shared pool. Founders sign up, have a short conversation, and get matched with someone who fits their situation. There is no cost, no fee, and no equity. The company keeps all work and IP. Anything a founder shares stays confidential.

It is volunteer-run, so there is no promise on timing or on a specific match.

## Who it is for

- Getting help: mainly pre-seed and seed startups. No finished plan and no product experience needed. Founders do not need to know which role they need.
- Giving help: experienced product, design, research, data, engineering, AI, sales/GTM and hiring people who are comfortable in early-stage ambiguity.

Rooted in Atlanta, open to founders anywhere. Remote or in person.

- Product management - what to build, why, and in what order
- Product design - how the product looks and works
- User research - talking to users and making sense of what they need
- Data and analytics - measurement, and reading what the numbers say
- Engineering - building a first version, scoping technical choices
- AI / ML - where AI fits, building an AI feature, AI tooling, AI risk and data handling
- Sales and go-to-market - reaching customers and closing first deals
- Hiring and talent - who to bring on, and when
